| The Newton County Sheriff's Office Traffic Unit is dedicated to maintaining safe streets within Newton County through pro-active, fair and consistent traffic enforcement laws. One of our primary goals is to reduce the number of accidents within the County caused by people running red lights, stop signs and speeding through your neighborhoods. Currently, there are four officers assigned to Traffic Unit. You may not see these officers in your neighborhoods, but they do patrol each neighborhood periodically. However, these limited patrols do not provide us with enough information about all traffic problems. To help us better serve your neighborhood, a form has been created to allow citizens to notify Newton County Sheriff's Office about traffic problems. |
